How to ask for business is a big problem for a lot of people in business especially the ones just starting out or the people who are of a somewhat shy nature. And you’ve probably heard the old saying “if you don’t ask you don’t get” well in my book that’s absolutely true.
One of the main things that stops us from asking in the first place is the fear of rejection, we’re afraid that our prospect is just going to turn around and say no it’s not for me not for me.
And after four or five times of that happening we start to get a bit shell-shocked. The good news is that what I’m going to share with you in this post is a way that you can get around the potential no’s quite easily.
The even better news is it’ll mean that you can talk to prospect after prospect after prospect and do it with the complete confidence. This technique works whether you’re selling a product a service or a business opportunity.
Here’s how the magic happens. You don’t actually talk to them about it you talk to a third party who isn’t there, what I mean is this, you would simply say to a prospect look this probably isn’t for you but would you happen to know someone who might benefit from…and then you tell them what the product, service or business opportunity is.

So for example if you’re in network marketing you might say look I know what I do probably isn’t isn’t for you however would you happen to know someone in your contacts who would benefit from this (product service or business) opportunity?
You may be selling better health and nutrition, self-sharpening kitchen knives, educational DVD’s a video training course, it can be just almost anything.
They know you’re not pitching to them your pitching to someone that they might know so they feel more comfortable and more relaxed about the process and they’ll take in the information that much better.
And I all but guarantee you that when you’re talking to them they’re seeing themselves in that business opportunity and what it could be doing for them or what the video course could do for them but they do it totally at ease and without feeling pressured.
Sometimes you get contact details to follow up on and sometimes they say “I don’t know about anyone else but I would be interested in finding out a bit more.”
In the latter scenario they’ve just given you permission to give a presentation about your product service or business opportunity. Now you’re talking to someone who wants to listen.
